A visual and interactive story into media bias.
I remember a much younger, more naive me, in the shower distinctly thinking how cool and unique it would be to plot the rise of media bias on a chart. I knew there had to be some recent rise in the past few years, and I was right.
I trained an artificial intelligence model to detect biases, scraped over 4.5 million headlines over the course of 15 years, and charted out the data I gathered. With analytical help from a friend (because I was bad at writing,) I created a website with all the data.
The project later won a congressional medal from Grace Meng NY06, for getting 3rd place in the Congressional App Challenge.
