I created Dropful as a software-development project in high school, registering it as a nonprofit later on. My goal was pretty simple– I just wanted to create software meant for high schoolers, entirely built by high schoolers.
For hundreds of hours, I worked on creating a volunteer log system in SvelteKit & shadcn, using Supabase as a backend. I also worked on developing TheQHSSTimes, a school newspaper CMS in React, Next, Postgres and PrismaORM.
I learned an large amount of skills relating not only to web-development, but the process of getting a piece of software done from start to finish.
